Relinquishment speech of Major General Jogy Leo L. Fojas AFP
Change of Command Ceremony, 10th Infantry (Agila) Division, PA
NFEM Grandstand, Panacan, Davao City
Today, I gladly turn over the command of the 10th ID to an officer and a gentleman who, through the years, has displayed an awesome commitment and dedication to the profession of arms – MGEN Reynaldo Mapagu AFP. Rey, I wish you well and I very well know you will surpass all the challenges that will come your way as the new comdr of 10ID.
I am happy to leave 10ID knowing that I have contributed a lot for its evolution into a more dynamic and responsive organization not only for mission accomplishment, but in service to God, country and people.
Region 11, Sarangani Province and South Cotabato has been my home for the past eleven months as commander of this division. With my stint here, I can honestly say that I've served the people in these areas unselfishly and with sincerity. I am now at a poignant position because I truly wanted to stay longer to continue the momentum of the counter – insurgency efforts that I have started and consequently reap the fruits of such efforts. But as an officer and a gentleman, I have to adhere as what duty beckons. Thus, my duty as commander of 10ID comes full circle. On the otherhand, I leave in high spirits, with the thoughts that I have contributed a lot in the restoration of a stable and relatively peaceful situation that we are presently experiencing here in this part of Mindanao. Acceptance speech of Major General Reynaldo Mapagu AFP
Change of Command Ceremony, 10th Infantry (Agila) Division, PA
NFEM Grandstand, Panacan, Davao City
Today, as I assume command of the 10 th Infantry “AGUILA” Division, I would like to express my profound gratitude, of course, to The Great Architect of the Universe who has made all these possible and to the Commanding General of the Philippine Army, Lieutenant General Victor S Ibrado, for his faith in my capabilities and the very encouraging and generous support he has always extended in most of my undertakings, especially during my stint as Army Chief of Staff.
Even as I face high expectations and challenges in this new position, I feel a great sense of confidence knowing that we all have a common purpose and desire, that is, to do committed service to our country and achieve a secure and progressive environment. More significantly, I draw inspiration from the fact that we have here at 10ID a capable and dedicated team who will work with me to attain these goals.
I, therefore, accept the responsibility of leadership of the 10 th Infantry Division with an unwavering resolve to carry out the army's internal security operations and development efforts in this part of Mindanao . In so doing, I shall pursue the ongoing programs of this command in support of higher headquarters' plans, priorities, and objectives. Read Full Text

Welcome Address of the Commander, 10ID in connection with the Presentation of the Former Rebels and Awarding of Immediate Assistance Package/Renumeration of Firearms to the Former Rehbels at Badminton Court, Headquarters, 10ID on 06 March 2009
We are indeed fortunate this morning to welcome our fellow Filipino back to the folds of the law. This occasion symbolizes their transistion to a new life apart from the fact that their return means that peace and development is the road ahead of us in this part of Mindanao. For us in the government and public service, this ceremony siginifies that our hard work, collective efforts and commitment to our respective mandate are not in vain.
Our ceremony this morning is a step forward in the peace process program of the governent. This was made possible through the concerted efforts adn collaboration of the Local Chief Executives (LCEs), the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace Process (OPAPP), othe government agencies such as the Philippine National Police and the Armed Forces of the Philippines ..
This is also another milestone in our insurgency campaign as this would eventually open doors of opportunities for other rebels in the mountains who are still waiting for the appropriate opportunity to return to mainstream society. I believe that we have this morning is a promise fulfilled and hopefully shall build thrust and confidence to those who still have hesitations or questions on the sincerity of this government. This would guarantee as well as the many things enstored for the rebels who would opt to surrender to the government. Read Full Text
